There is a lot of confusion about the use of templates for webdesign.  It's understandable because the mere word template insinuates duplication and who wants duplication on their new site?  (not I, said the red hen) Further, the concept of templates sometimes lends the (inaccurate) impression that anyones kid brother can use a template to build a website so it must be amateurish.  Wrong.  Well, not if you do it right that is.

There was a time that a template based website was frowned upon all together but that time has passed!  That's good news for all of us really.  Why?  Because using a template solves a lot of issues that historically caused many headaches and often led to deadend websites.  Using a good template can give you the jumpstart you need to launching a hot looking professional website.  (note the use of the word "good"!)
