New York Times Square New year celebrations in...

Recently, a friend sent out a request for input on New Years Resolutions.  She's a reporter and was writing an article.  Never one to pass up an opportunity to reflect I responded.  By the time I was finished I was really thankful for her inquiry and the opportunity it gave me to reflect.  The end result was an approach that could benefit your business as well as you personally.

Don't resolve!  Reflect!

I challenge you, as your new year starts, to stop and reflect on the lessons you gained from the last year.  Don't skip over the painful experiences.  Instead, spend a little time thinking about those specifically and what you gained from them.  There is always something to be gained, we just have to dig a little deeper to find it sometimes.

I recently posted on my Facebook page that in 2009 I learned that I can't do it all but what I can do is usually enough.  A good friend and someone I have high regard for shared that she learned not to panic, to be patient because it always works out.  What did you learn in 2009 and what will you do with your new experiences to  enhance your life or your business in 2010?

Happy New Year.  May your 2010 be all that you hope for!
